For those of us in the concrete production industry, few trade shows make as big of an impact as World of Concrete. That’s why we’ve made it a point to attend each and every year – and why Simem America was honored to once again host our own booth at World of Concrete 2019.
Every one of these annual gatherings is highly-anticipated, but World of Concrete 2019 took those expectations and delivered on a whole new level
Over three packed days we welcomed visitors to our booth, where we exhibited a wide range of products for precast, prestress, block, paver, pipe, readymix and infrastructure projects including recycling systems for today’s greener requirements.
In that time, we saw a wide variety of amazing advances, met incredible people, and saw the future of the industry all gathered in one place – and it was exciting.
It would take a long time to run down all of the great things we saw at World of Concrete 2019, but here’s a look at just a few of the most compelling things our Simem America team encountered at this year’s show:
1. High Levels of Interest and Engagement From the Industry
We’ve been attending World of Concrete for years now, but few have ever felt as exciting or engaging as World of Concrete 2019. Aside from setting records for attendance to make this year’s the largest WoC in history, this year also saw records set everywhere from the auction to demand for machines.
Given how many industry trailblazers and talented professionals we met in our time on the floor, there’s no doubt that this year was a Word of Concrete for the books – making us even more enthused for what’s ahead.
2. Cutting-Edge Innovations in Concrete Development
Each year, one of the biggest highlights at World of Concrete is getting a chance to see the most modern advances in hardware and machinery technology for producers today.
Whether it’s new tools designed to make day-to-day operations smoother or larger advances in concrete production machinery, we’re always thrilled to add our own contributions to the rapid pace of evolution in our growing industry.
3. A Renewed Focus on Investment in Producers
Maybe the most amazing signs of growth we saw at World of Concrete 2019 was the overall focus on investing in the people on the ground.
That means putting resources and support toward training the producers and workers of today and tomorrow. We saw plenty of instances of this, from an increased focus on the growing number of women in the industry to the importance placed on welcoming students and other young people into this important annual event.
A World of Concrete To Be Remembered
“This year brought a particularly impressive showing to World of Concrete, with everyone really showing excitement and anticipation for the future,” said Jeff West, Director of Market Development for Simem America Corporation. “We were thrilled to once again be a part of this important industry gathering and remain excited to continue our growth alongside such amazing industry partners.”
World of Concrete 2019 may be over, but Simem America is always ready to connect. Catch us at The Precast Show in Kentucky from Feb. 28 – March 2, or get in touch any time to learn more about our environmentally-conscious batching plants and mixing equipment for the production of concrete.
