The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for loading and unloading packages, verifying shipment contents, and managing the documentation associated with shipping processes. The ideal candidate has experience in a similar role and is capable of working independently and maintaining physical and digital inventories.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Prepare shipping documents and mailing labels
- Ensure that orders have been filled correctly
- Ensure that orders are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations
- Monitor inventory levels and restock as needed
- Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)
- Handle returns and exchanges
- Keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Coordinate and negotiate with courier and delivery services
Requirements:
- 5 years proven work experience as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk or similar role
- Good understanding of shipment or delivery processes
- Experience with inventory management software
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to lift heavy items
- High school diploma or equivalent
